Bosch Delegation Visits Carbonology’s Lingang Facility
On August 12, a Bosch delegation paid a visit to Carbonology’s Lingang R&D Center for a site tour and technical exchange. The group included colleagues from Bosch China Common Research alongside counterparts from the company’s German R&D operations. Both teams shared their overall business strategies and directions in cutting-edge low-carbon technology, then engaged in several rounds of Q&A and perspective-sharing around the full DAC-to-eSAF value chain.

Highlights of the Visit
The delegation toured the three core pilot units, Direct Air Capture (DAC), CO₂ reduction, and novel Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, observing the pilot plant in real time. Carbonology’s engineers walked them through the full process logic and shared actual pilot performance data, fielding questions on commercialization, cost structure, and project planning. During the discussion session, the Bosch team raised a number of industry concerns from their industrial vantage point. On business model positioning, Carbonology laid out its long-term vision and medium-to-long-term thinking around vertical integration and in-house value chain operations. On the technology and capacity roadmap beyond 2027, the team disclosed its full phased plan, covering step-by-step capacity expansion and continuous process upgrades. On the Ningxia kiloton-scale demonstration project, Carbonology explained that one core objective is to build out a continuous operational database across the full process, which will support the process package finalization for subsequent ten-thousand-ton commercial plants. Another is to improve overall project economics by selling by-products to offset daily operating expenses. The team also touched on plans to export mature commercial turnkey projects overseas. In turn, the Bosch team shared their group’s overall carbon capture development roadmap, Bosch’s positioning within the low-carbon industrial ecosystem, and highlighted their R&D efforts and deployment plans in two key areas: in-house electrolysis stack development and strategic partnerships across the electrochemical value chain. The entire exchange zeroed in on the real-world deployment challenges of frontier carbon conversion technology and the potential for industrial synergy. Both sides traded perspectives, leaving the door open for future cross-disciplinary technical and industrial collaboration. Carbonology will continue pushing ahead with the Ningxia demonstration base, steadily iterating its core DAC and eSAF synthesis processes, refining its full-chain commercial operations plan, and driving the large-scale deployment of air-captured synthetic fuel technology.
